They taunt me
Everyday flying by
Leaving me down here
To watch as they
soar across the sky
Weaving through the stars
They are free
They are living
They are my friends
I am trapped
I am dying
I am alone
The waters turned black
The lands became barren
The others left
But I have no wings
So there is nothing left for me
But to dream
To dream that I could leave this ocean
And swim between the stars
To dream that my lungs no longer burn
That my skin and scales do not peel
To dream that my family hasn't died
And that my friends hadn't left
So here I am
On this toxic planet
Here I am
Watching, wishing
To be like the dragons
And not the mermaid that I am.

What Hurts the Most (Loki x Reader)
Warning: DEATH!!!
Frigga was safe with Jane, running. You were using the power of illusion that you had used, hiding behind a pillar and hoping that Malekith couldn’t hear you breathing. You were trying to focus on keeping up the projection that was talking to Malekith. He had already figured out Jane wasn’t real. You were just hoping that he didn’t try to touch Frigga.
“You’re just an illusion.” You heard him say. That’s when a pair of large hands grabbed you and pulled you from your hiding spot. They held you firmly as Malekith walked towards you.
“Stand down.” You said, trying to sou

I Lost It (LokixReader BuckyxReader)
“I can’t do this anymore!” You screamed at Loki. He rolled his eyes and went back to reading. “If it’s not something you want, you don’t care!”
“I don’t understand why you’re getting so upset.” He said casually. You froze, tears in your eyes. You looked at the painting sitting on the table. You had spent months getting all the colors right and the landscape perfect. You had been painting the most wonderful portrait of Asgard at sunset. For him. And he didn’t care.
“Okay.” You said quietly. You turned on your heels and marched to your room, using the magic th

Loki X Reader: When I Rule The World
He sat there, alone on his throne, holding the cold scepter in his hands, staring into space, deep in thought.
He had done it, he had finally gotten everything, he had strived so hard to archive...
But yet...
He still felt as if something was missing...perhaps, the emptiness was from the sorrow, of the death of his beloved mother.
Even thought he had gotten everything he had every wanted...He felt as if he had nothing...or rather had no one...
His mother, now dead, she was the only one to have ever seemed cared about him, to ever truly love him, but now... she had gone, forever.
The thought of his last words, she and him shared, and the

This is an excellent poem for around Earth Day especially. Reminding us that pollution hurts more than just ourselves. Poor mermaid . While the grass only seems greener on the other side most of the time...sometimes that's just not the case. For the record, I think having wings and being able to fly would be awesome, lol. Thanks for joining the contest! I've been reading through everyone's work and it's been very enjoyable.
